Bridgewater NPUCTS #1
First off let me say that Dye ATC cleats are not waterproof as I found out. The day started off kind of bad for us we found ourselves actually hurrying to get stuff together before our first game. We were basically setting up stuff yet when the captains meeting was going on. I have to say I was surprised to see that these tourneys were finally being turned around. Even though it was raining we still did pretty good. Paint was going all over the place some more then others but we still seemed to do pretty good in the prelims losing zero games going into the Finals with high confidence. But we were took off guard as Krucial Conflict surprised us with a complete turn around in the finals beating us. Then we played Plague on the Diamond field with a really good game between them and us. They got the flag pull before us and that pretty much gave them the win we shot all of their players but time ran out before we could hang the flag giving Plague the first place victory and Krucial the runners up. Great work by both teams it’s going to be a great series this year. And a great job done keeping them games on schedule. |
Team Melee
Team Melee consists of 5 players on our Roster. Kyle Cook-captian, Al Bauer Co-Captain, Justin Cook, Kenny Buhl, and Dallas Johnson. For the 2004 season we are going to be using a DM4, X-Mag, Lasoya Timmy, Dye Matrix, X-Mag. We will also be wearing 2003 Dye jerseys, Pants, Shoes, and Gloves. Most of our team is located in Yankton, SD and in Sioux Falls. Most of us have been playing for around 4 years now, and as a team this is only our second year playing. Last year we manily focused on the NPUCTS series and ended the year with 3 first place finishes, one second, and one third. We ended up taking the Novice Championship for the year. This year we are going into most of our tourneys as an Amatuer team. |
Bridgewater 3-Man Series
This has always been a little series that I have wanted to play for the past two years but we just never got around to doing it until this year. We decided not to play the first out of 4 tourneys because we felt that we really didn’t need to and well we needed the practice first. And it was a good thing we didn’t play it because it rained pretty bad that day. We went into the second tourney just practicing the day before feeling really good about ourselves and swept the entire day winning every game of the day. And what im told it’s never been done before in this series so that was kind of nice to know. The third tourney however was a little rocky tying Sepsis, and then losing to Prime Suspects and Sepsis in the second half. At this point we were still in the lead even though we skipped out on the first one. The fourth and final tourney we rocked again this time losing no games but some how managed to get not one but two tied games. It was a fun little 3-man series I really enjoyed it I just wish more teams would play this series because it is a great learning experience. Also I love playing 3-man tourneys with Both Al and Justin because we just work so well with one another. We got the option for either a $1000 Dye gift certificate or $725 in cash and well those of you that know us know that we already pretty much own all that Dye makes so we took the $725. Thanks Bruce for having this series and many more to come.
